Purpose –The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the influence social organizational
climate (SOC) and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB)to innovative workplace behaviors
(IWB)with person organization fit (PO Fit) as a mediating variable.
Design/methodology/approach
The study was conducted anonymously on a group of 30 employees from at one service office in
Padang. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used in the process of statistical analysis.
Findings
The research confirmed a significant statistical relationship between IWB and all studied variables :
SOC, OCB and PO Fit. On the basic of the analysis, using SEM (PLS), it may be concluded that SOC
and OCB of other employees have an indirect influence on IWB, via PO Fit.
